The volume of a cylinder is 81 ft3. The volume of a cube is 42 ft3. What is the difference between the volume of a cone that fits exactly inside the cylinder and the volume of a pyramid that fits exactly inside the cube?
@marissalovescats this one i need help figuing out how to do.
Hmm I'm not sure on this one. I'm not very good with word problems lol. Maybe @ganeshie8 can help you :)
i hope so. i have no clue what to do
I can help
please do!
so can you help by chance ganeshie?
@Harsha19111999 help?
@karatechopper can you help by chance?
You're given : `The volume of a cylinder is 81 ft3.`
volume of a cone that fits exactly inside the cylinder wud be 1/3 rd of the volume of cylinder
So volume of cone = ?
the volume of the cone would be 27
Excellent !
use the same trick to find the volume of pyramid also
would it also be 1/3?
You're given : `The volume of a cube is 42 ft3.` volume of pyramid that fits exactly inside this cube = ?
Yep !
so the pyramid would be 14?
that fits in the cube
Correct ! next read the question and do whatever it asks you to do :)
thank you :D
`What is the difference between the volume of a cone that fits exactly inside the cylinder and the volume of a pyramid that fits exactly inside the cube?`
i just subtract the cone from the cylinder and the pyrimid from the cube
nope, you just subtract `cone and pyramid`
volume of cone = 27 volume of pyramid = 14 difference = ?
13
thats it !
and the volume of a pyramid that fits exactly inside the cube? << whats that mean though. that makes it sound like you get the difference there too
the volume of a pyramid that fits exactly inside the cube = 42/3 = 14
ok thank you i see now :)
good, yw :)
hey marissa thanks :) theres one more i need help with. i will tag you ok?
Sure..
she was here a second ago lol ill also tag you
