Check my answer on trigonometric graphs?

OpenStudy (bruno102):

OpenStudy (bruno102):

What is the equation of the following graph?

OpenStudy (bruno102):

I think it might be y=tan(x)+3, but I am not sure...

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats right ! you're just shifting the graph of tan(x) UP by 3 units

OpenStudy (bruno102):

Awesome! I just wasn't sure if it moved horizontally at all

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

what do you think ?

OpenStudy (bruno102):

I don't think so, but I am not 100% positive

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

compare it with y=tan(x) graph put both the graphs side by side and have a good look

OpenStudy (bruno102):

It looks to me like it didn't move horizontally

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

here is the tan(x) graph : http://prntscr.com/3sutr8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yes, there is no horizontal movement !

OpenStudy (bruno102):

Awesome! :) thanks again for all of your help

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np, good work !!
