I have a question what is the length of the hypotenuse of the isosceles triangle: there is an a at bottom right corner b at the top corner and c in the bottom right corner and 9 between b and c and 12 between a and c, so what would it be?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

got picture?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

keep in mind that -> http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/triangles-interactive.html <--- click on Isosceles notice that 2 sides are equal and the 2 angles made by those 2 equal sides, seem to always be equal to each other too :)

OpenStudy (triciaal):

not sure what this looks like . The hypotenuse is opposite a right angle this would be a 3,4,5 triangle but an isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides. In your description you have 2 bottom right corners. Please draw a diagram to match the description. Is there a perpendicular bisector somewhere?
