OpenStudy (mathlegend):

Can anyone explain if I am a first generation college student? My parents did not go to college but my sister attended college and I have a brother currently in college. Would I still count as first generation?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

In your lineage, yeah, but did any of your ancestors go to college?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! You're in the same generation as your brother and sister who are also first.

Miracrown (miracrown):

Yes, you would still be first generation as "generation" covers many years. So unless your siblings were about 10 to 20 years older, you would still be with them as first generation.

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

@Compassionate to be honest as far back as my great grandmother I know none of them did. I don't know about anyone behind that. Thanks everyone for the responses!
