okay for 17 it would be A, it is a slow twitch or red muscles. These are rich in mitochondria and carry more aerobic respiration

for 16 it would be C, slow twitch muscles generally relies on aerobic respiration which needs oxygen, fast twitch muscles can perform anaerobic respiration so slow twitch muscles wiil first to be affected in thalassemia.
