OpenStudy (matt101):

Do you have a specific question? We can't really do the assignment for you, but we can help you understand something you're having trouble with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what to do for task 2 of the question, what do i have to research?

OpenStudy (matt101):

You trying to figure out what physiological effects the drug has on the body over an extended period of time based on the results from the preliminary trials. The trials highlight two main things: the drug causes hypernatremia (high plasma sodium content), and contains a drug that can activate the adrenal glands. You'll want to consider the physiological effects of both these things. To give you some starting points, for hypernatremia, consider how the cardiovascular and renal systems would be affected. Would changes in these systems produce secondary changes in other systems? In the case of the preservative, think about what activating the adrenal gland would do. As a gland, it produces hormones - if more of these hormones are produced, what would their effects on the body be? Could there be any interplay between the effects of hypernatremia and the effects of adrenal stimulation?

OpenStudy (lena772):

Research side effects of the drug and write about those that weren't present in the trials that could very well occur. Cheers...
