i want to know about the internal structure of a solar cell

Light enters the device through an optical coating called anti-reflection layer.This layer effectively traps the light.There are also three other layer below the anti reflection layer namely,top junction,absorber and back junction.. Two additional electrical contact layers are needed to carry the electric current out to an external load and back into the cell, thus completing an electric circuit. The materials used to construct the various layers of solar cells are essentially the same as those used to produce the diodes and transistors of solid-state electronics
