Check?

Suppose you collected data on the income of ten families and the last four digits of their phone numbers. Which is the most probable scatter plot of these data? B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do not give the answer!

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@CrazyCountryGirl can u explain on what basis u answered B??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rishavraj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@CrazyCountryGirl is there any relation given among the two??

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@CrazyCountryGirl correct me if I am wrong..I guess D option suggests that their income is same??

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@CrazyCountryGirl but its not mentioned anywhere that their incomes r samr...its quiet confusing!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...Can you explain the problem to me? @rishavraj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rishavraj

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@CrazyCountryGirl its a straight forward question...it simply says that u hav collectd information on income of different and last four digits of their phone number...it doesnt state the the relationshiip between the income and last four digits...and that is just screwing my mind...and it isnt mentioned anywhere that their income r same...nevertheless i guess u r correct

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@CrazyCountryGirl i think the same...

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Can there be any relationship between `income` and `the last four digits of their phone numbers` ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

No, there can not be any relationship - so you should see a fully scattered scatter plot

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Look at the graphs one last time- In which graph the points are all scattered ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats the one !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see. :)
