1887). In 1887, she went to a highly respected doctor with the hope that he could help her. He basically told her that nothing was wrong with her, and he prescribed the rest cure (Gilman).

They did paraphrase to write the paragraph but it is more than that. "This paragraph is based on a much longer work" should tell you what it is.
