i got 113 of 400, ho to calculate percentile

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide and multiply by 100, = 28.25%

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\large \begin{array}{llll} \#&\% \\\hline\\ 400&100\\ 113&x \end{array}\implies \cfrac{400}{113}=\cfrac{100}{x}\)

If there is 100 students in the test, 99 students got 1 score, you got 2 score, then you percentile is 99% . That means you are above 99 out of 100 students If there is 24 students above you , then you get 76% percentile If you can pass no one, although you get 356 out of 400, but 99 students get 357 score, your percentile is 0% That's why I said you cannot calculate the percentile since you don't know how many students in the test and how many score they get. Percentage is another thing, it based on your OWN score only. It is calculate by *100%
