A box is to be constructed from a sheet of cardboard that is 10 cm by 60 cm by cutting out squares of length x by x from each corner and bending up the sides. What is the maximum volume this box could have? (Round your answer to two decimal places.)

Okay, the volume of a cube (or the box, in this case) is x^3. Cubes have 6 sides. So if you have a piece of cardboard that is 1dm x 6dm (10cm x 60cm), how many squares can you get that all have the same side lengths?

does the box have to be sealed?
