If a car travels 30 mi. north for one-half hour, 50. mi. east for one hour, and 30 mi. south for 30 min., what is the total distance the car traveled? Help pleaseee

distance is easy. just add the 3 distances 30+ 50 + 30 if displacement was asked then you'd taken directions into consideration
What do you do to know what direction to go in?
as i said, to find the distance you don't even need the direction. distance is a scalar quantity, only magnitude is important
