Can anyone help me figure out how Openstudy works? I am new here and I would like to learn how to use it better.

Yeah, I was hoping that someone could help me learn how to navigate this website better. For example, I know that there are a lot more subjects than just math, but how do I get there?

See the top of the window. You will see a "Find More Subjects" button which you can click on so as to search for more subjects to join. Once you have joined a group, you can find it in a dropdown. Do you see "Mathematics" written on top? Hover on it and you will see the list of subjects you have joined.

Right now, if you hover on that menu, you will only find the subject Mathematics. But as you join more groups, you would be able to access them from that dropdown. Good luck!

Smart score increases as you answer and ask questions. :)

Smartscore is based on three different areas.

Teamwork: You gain users and fan users as well as helping out
Engagement: Time being on here as well as asking questions
Problem Solving: Pssh, work yo booty off to answer dem questions in detail c;

Your overall smartscore is grouped up by all of those together.

You can tag users like what you just had done. People will come and go as they please to answer the questions they see.

Right, try to avoid offering medals and fans in your question title.

You can medal people when you think they've done a good job answering your questions by clicking "Best Response" :)

No, people will fan you if they feel you helped them a lot, or just fan you for fun. It's kind of like facebook when you friend request people.

You can only give one person a medal. You select "best response" based on who you think gave a better response or you feel answered your question very well.
