A pedigree chart is most often used to determine someone's phenotype determine if a trait runs in a family determine someone's genotype manipulate genes Horse breeders often mate horses that have special traits that they will pass on to offspring. this is an example of Survival of the Fittest Evolution Artificial Selection Natural Selection Scientists could use genetic engineering to do all of the following EXCEPT increase the nutritional values of plants turn off the gene responsible for a physical defect make a plant that is more drought tolerant breed two animals Genotypes are used to determine an individual's traits through a Gene Diagram Mendel Square Punnett Square Palmalt Square In human sexual reproduction, 23 ________ are donated by each parent. DNAs Genotypes Traits Chromosomes When you describe a person's physical characteristics, you are describing their personality genetic makeup genotype phenotype

woah...
1 - A pedigree chart is used to show your family tree of traits, so which one is it? 2 - Artificial Selection (We went over this earlier) 3 - B, because a scientist cannot just turn off a gene... 4 - O believe it is a Punnett Square... 5 - It is chromosomes, because there is 46 chromosomes which are paired up in twos, which make sit 23 pairs... 6 - Genotype is the details of a person you can't see, and phenotype is the details you can see
I believe* not O believe, xD
which makes it 23 pairs...* LOL all these typos.
@sammixboo You are wrong. We can turn off genes. This is done through either gene knockouts, DNA methylation, or creating specific RNA sequences to bind and destroy the mRNA of the gene in question. It is actually a very simple thing and is routinely done. @hippo4 Are these questions exactly as they were asked? There things have a lot of mistakes.
I believe this is only 7th grade science also? I am not sure. I remember doing this lesson.
@sammixboo I'm not sure. I am a 5th year PhD student so I am a bit out of touch with what is being taught in high school and lower.
Oooohhh...
@sammixboo I just run around on here trying to help out.
