OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Substantia nigra

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Parkinson's disease occurs due degeneration of midbrain

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

i will upload a pic for you

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

there you go bro

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Substantia nigra is a small region located in the midbrain. This disease is characterised by decreased or insufficient dopamine production.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

" Parkinson's primarily affects neurons in the an area of the brain called the substantia nigra. "

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Parkinson's disease is a chronic and progressive movement disorder, aka symptoms continue and worsen over time. The actual cause itself is unknown, whats more, there is presently no cure, however there are treatment options such as medication and surgery to manage its symptoms.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

"Parkinson’s involves the malfunction and death of vital nerve cells in the brain, called neurons. ........ Some of these dying neurons produce dopamine, a chemical that sends messages to the part of the brain that controls movement and coordination. As Parkinsons' progresses, the amount of dopamine produced in the brain decreases, leaving a person unable to control movement normally."

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Parkinson's disease is characterized by the death of DOPAMINERGIC neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

This leads in reduction of dopamine production actually which is a neurotransmitter.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

This ultimately leads to tremor at rest, stiffness, slowing of movement and postural instability.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks you guys , I really appreciate the help

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

The specific group of symptoms that an individual experiences varies from person to person. Primary motor signs of Parkinson’s disease include the following. tremor of the hands, arms, legs, jaw and face bradykinesia or slowness of movement rigidity or stiffness of the limbs and trunk postural instability or impaired balance and coordination

OpenStudy (abhisar):

LOL @PRAETORIAN.10 don't make it complex just give him the link !

OpenStudy (abhisar):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkinson's_disease

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

ok, here's the link, http://www.pdf.org/about_pd

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

@Abhisar lol, whats it matter to you, youre so freaking smart you would read: rctxvcybtvnjybmkn68423265 and say its the formula to the speed of light or something intelligent. :)

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

I'm the one who needs stuff dumbed-down 10 notches

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I meant dont make it complex for @Gkargbo1 btw

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

@Abhisar i know brother, just playing.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

u r a good player !

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

thats what she said.....

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Healthy debate is invited anytime, just tag me in a post for that purposely and i'll never say that :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I hpe the question is clear to uh @Gkargbo1 !

OpenStudy (abhisar):

btw uh guys should chck my post http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/539d7179e4b0206eed099587

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

you see, you just did it again, i dont know what youre on about. i think youre saying whenever you dont know something just tag me and i will use my alien brain to boss out an answer for you. anyway, i hope @Gkargbo1 got his answer too. i'm sure he understands this complex stuff a lot more than me

OpenStudy (abhisar):

No i just wanted to say, whnvr u want to debate with me oo any topic, just tag me in, dont do that in some one other's post !!

OpenStudy (abhisar):

And the final thing, I am not a boss, nor the smartest !

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

and by that i mean: just tag me (you) and i (you) will use my alien brain to boss out an answer for you (me)

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

never mind

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Thnx all \(\color{green}{\huge\ddot\smile}\)

OpenStudy (koikkara):

\(Hey,\) @Gkargbo1 \(Hope~it~helps~!!\) Don't Forget, \(Appreciate~the~Best~Answer\) with a click on \(\color{purple}{"Best Response"}\) Button Too ! \(\color{darkgreen}{~''Nice~To~Meet~You~!!"}\)
