A car is traveling at a constant velocity. After two hours the car has traveled 225 miles. Assuming a linear equation fits this situation, what are the ordered pairs that you would use to find the linear equation? (90, 5) and (5, 225) (2, 90) and (5, 225) (2, 90) and (225, 5) (90, 2) and (225, 5)

225 miles in 2 hours.. I don't know where the \('(5, 225)'\) or \('(225, 5)'\) are supposed to come from..
That's all the answer choices. ._.
Hmm..a line between two points HAS to be linear.
Oh wait..when hours increase..miles increase..
True.
So A is wrong. Lines increase/decrease from left to right.
A is decreasing.
B has an undefined slope.
C is decreasing..
If this were on a graph, the y axis would be the number of hours and the x axis would be the number of miles traveled. They tell you that in y = 2 hours, the driver is at x = 225. So you have to find one of your answers up above that dictates a y value of 2 with an x value of 225 (in the same set of parenthesis). This is not one of your choices so it appears that something went wrong somewhere with either the problem or your translation of it from the original to your post. There is no answer above that would fit. The equation for your line is y = 4.5x. No points up there fit into that equation.
Actually B is increasing..I was zoomed out on my graph so much it looked undefined. A and C are definitely WRONG. B and D are your only choices. B is very steep, and D is pretty flat.
I would go with B. Because if you go 225 miles in 2 hours, you're going pretty fast.
It does say Assuming a linear equation fits this situation
B It is.
Well you're assuming that y = hours @IMStuck If x = hours, I think the answer would point to B.
Well if you get this question wrong, take the quiz again, and get the same question, you would know that the answer is D.
