If you rent a car for one day and drive it for 100 miles, the cost is $40.00. If you drive it 220 miles, the cost is $46.00. Use a linear function to find out how much you will pay to rent the car for one day if you drive it 300 miles.

You don't really have to make a linear function..is this an essay question? Or is it a multiple choice? Because if it's multiple choice, it says 100 miles = $40. 300 / 100 = 3 3 \(\times\) 40 = 120. So you can assume that 300 miles = $120
