A function is shown below: f(x) = x3 + 2x2 - x - 2 Part A: What are the factors of f(x)? Show your work. (3 points) Part B: What are the zeros of f(x)? Show your work. (2 points) Part C: What are the steps you would follow to graph f(x)? Describe the end behavior of the graph of f(x). (5 points)
any ideas here? You could jut poke at it and find the first factor, or you could use the Rational Roots theorem. But let's try the simpler way first. Use synthetic division and see if you can find a root of 1 or -1 or 2 or -2. Do you know how to do that?
It's quite simple, but you need to follow the step by step in order to get all the answers correctly. Let me know if you can find the first factor with synthetic division.
