Hey everyone! I have a couple questions that I know how to solve and I was wondering if someone would please check them to make sure I did it right and understand it? Thanks! Also, look at the picture that goes along with it. For the next three questions, use the lines on the coordinate plane below to do the given calculations. Calculate the slope of BD. -1/4 -1 1 1/7 It is 1. Write the equation for AD. 3x-2y=10 2x-3y=7 x+4y= -2 4x+y=7 It is 4x+y=7. Calculate the slope of AD. -4 3/2 2/3 -1/4 It is -4. Thanks!!

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ahemm how did you get 1 for the BD's slope anyway?

OpenStudy (beccab003):

I did: \[2-(-1)\div5-2=3/3=1\]

OpenStudy (beccab003):

I couldn't figure out how to get it to look like one was on top of the other so the dividing sign really means one over the other.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... ahemm would be rise over run... so \(\bf \cfrac{5-2}{2-(-1)}\implies \cfrac{3}{3}\implies 1\) but you're correct

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the other 2 are also correct

OpenStudy (beccab003):

Thanks! How do you do the equation with one over the other?

OpenStudy (beccab003):

I couldn't find it on the equation thing.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

... well. is just a fraction
