To find the value of Z yo must first find the value of Y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the pythagorean theorem to find Y and use the pythagorean theorem again to find Z

Pythagorean Theorem\[A^2+B^2=C^2\] Where C is the hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plugging in what you know A= y B= 1 C = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using that same method and seeing that Z is the hypotenuse you can find Z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the Second triangle on the right, A = Y B = 8 C = Z So you can see that you first need the value of Y
