what's the sum of the first 6 positive even number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you serious right now? you can't do this yourself?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Don't discourage users who may have a problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm serious dude. can u please help me ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12. Add them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i addd them with 6 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you add the numbers that I gave you together. not with six. six has nothing to do with the actual math.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show me how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2+4+6+8+10+12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There. That's how you do it. OpenStudy isn't here to do your work for you, however.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if you can't do simple arithmetic you have my apologies but I don't think we should be obligated to teach you what you were taught years ago.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sorry-_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you do the problem that I told you to do or not?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

@amaira16 numbers that are divisible by 2 exactly are called even numbers. first few even positive even numbers are : `2, 4, 6,...` starting from 2, every other number is even ^

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Are you doing this problem in arithmetic series module ? :)
