Which of the following is not a postulate of euclidean geometry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thinking its A, but I'm still unsure.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

What is your guess and why ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I know that B and C are postulates for sure, but I'm not sure about D because it is claiming that right angles can be bisected but its not clearly stated in any of the postulates

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Yes you are correct Ma'am

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. :) Thank you!!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A is also one of the 5 postulates of euclid - its called parallel postulate

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Answer must be D.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Rest are Postulates. I know their proofs....

OpenStudy (goformit100):

But it's not the matter up here in this question. Well done @ganeshie8 .
