Can you give me examples of quadractic equations with no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quadratic equation with no REAL solution: e.g x^2 + x +1 = 0

OpenStudy (kainui):

x^2 + positive number = 0 -x^2 + negative number = 0 Both unsolvable because they look like this: |dw:1403062013774:dw| All "solvable" really means is where does the quadratic function touch the x-axis? Nowhere on either of those. But you can see that if you move them you can have it touch just the tip or both sides if you go deep enough... Err... Yeah.
