matrix contains 30 elements. Which of the following cannot equal the number of rows of the matrix? a. 24 b. 1 c. 30 d. 5

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

You must have a number divisible by 30. Just think, a matrix could have 1 column with 30 rows, or 2 columns with 15 rows, or 3 columns with 10 rows, etc... you can't have a matrix where 1 column has 28 rows, then the 2nd column having only 2 rows

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

(though mind you, a matrix with one row is often called just a row vector, and a matrix with one column is called a column vector )
