Which is an equation of a circle with center (-5, -7) that passes through the point (0, 0)? I know that the equation so far is (x+5)^2 + (y+7)^2 but I'm not sure if it equals to 37 or 74

OpenStudy (shamim):

equation of a circle is (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=a^2

OpenStudy (shamim):

here h,k is the coordinate of the centet

OpenStudy (shamim):

center

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay so it's 74

OpenStudy (shamim):

a=radius of circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so radius is 8 then

OpenStudy (shamim):

ya, u r right 74

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woop thank you

OpenStudy (shamim):

u r most welcome

OpenStudy (shamim):

anyway radius will b a=√74
