Your teacher produces a light interference pattern on the wall. How will you identify whether the pattern is being created by a single, double, or multiple slit apparatus?

a single slit diffraction would produce a pattern with one large peak and much smaller side peaks to the left and right. A double slit would produce many peaks in the same area of the single slit, not just one big one. A multi slit pattern would look a lot like the double slit pattern but there would be small peaks in between the large peaks. In general, the more slits the more complex the pattern.
