I forget the name of the Theorem but it was that the same side interior angles between two parallel lines adds up to 180 degrees so you can get 6y+5+73 = 180 and solve for y from there :)

hmmm not quite :) 6y+5+73 = 180 add like terms 6y + 78 = 180 subtract 78 from both sides -78 -78 6y = 102 then divide both sides by 6

Ok! i got confused but then realized i didnt plug in 96 in the equation and of course that wouldnt work thank you!
