OpenStudy (beccab003):

Can someone please check my answer? It is an easy question. I will medal the person with the best answer. Thanks! Write the equation of the line with a slope of 3/7 passing through the point (9,-2). y = 3/7x + 9 3x – 7y = 41 2x – 9y = -3/7 y = 3/7x - 2 It is 3x – 7y = 41

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So first you need to set up a point-slope intercept. y+2=3/7(x-9)

OpenStudy (beccab003):

I have already done the problem. I just wanted someone to check and make sure that i did it right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are we solving for y or x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or writing it in standard form?

OpenStudy (beccab003):

Um...were not solving for y or x. we are just setting up an equation. I guess in standard form.

OpenStudy (beccab003):

@jdoe0001

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then your answer is correct! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's positive. Believe me.

OpenStudy (beccab003):

Okay. Thanks! I wanted to make sure I was right.
