OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to factor??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

show me the work and ill tell you which part you did wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I forgot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ill teach

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you have the equation x^2-17x+72 you can see that you have (-17 + 72) because you have 72 you must divide the number and when you get the two numbers it must add up to -17. so 72 = 8 * 9 or -8 * -9 then because when you add up -8 + -9 = -17 so the factorized answer would be (x-8)(x-9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be a. right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it would be c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm its c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u
