When completing the square of a parabola, if left side of the equation reads x^2+9x, then the constant that should be added to both sides is 81. True or False?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False! When completing the square: 1. Divide the "b" value by 2. 2. Square the quotient of b/2 3. Add product to both sides. If done correctly, the constant added to both sides should be 81/4. Because I, personally, don't like decimals, I would leave the product in fraction form.
