5 equal forces of magnitude 10 n are acting at a point. if the angles between any two adjacent forces are equal find the resultant

|dw:1403145943610:dw| Based on the information that "angles between any two [of the five] adjacent forces are equal" we can assume that the forces' angles between eachother are 72 degrees. I drew a picture for you showing how the information creates a pentagon of sorts. So, knowing this, take the x and y components of each force using trig and add them up from there. I suggest picking one of the forces to act parallel to the x-axis (AKA start at 0 degrees) and increase by increments of 72 degrees. Don't forget to use the pythagorean theorem in the end, if needed!

0 N, because of symmetry.
