What conclusions can be drawn about the spread of Islam from 632 through 1000 AD (CE)?

Islamic armies conquered major cities to help spread Islam on three continents. Muhammad united the tribes of the Arabian peninsula into a cohesive people under Islam. After his death, and as a united people, they began a fast march of conquest towards Africa and Central Asia in that period. The Islamic armies defeated the Persian Empire early on. Islam also certainly did not develop in Europe and spread to Africa by that route. It also didn't begin in Constantinople and spread to Arabia - Constantinople at the time was the capital of the Byzantine Empire and would be the seat of Eastern Christian Orthodoxy.
