Use the map to answer the following question: Map of the Crusader states in the Holy Land during the time of the Crusades. The Crusader states stretch from southern Anatolia to the Sinai along the Mediterranean coast. There are five main states identified. From North to South these are: the Armenian Kingdom, the County of Edessa, the County of Tripoli, the Principality of Antioch, and the Kingdom of Jerusalem. The Crusaders depended on close cooperation with the Seljuk Empire. The Crusaders had difficulty gaining control of interior lands. The Crusaders kept the borders of their states on areas of flat, accessible land. The Crusaders maintained a close diplomatic relationship with each other between states.
