OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you double the mass, you will have to _______________________ the centripetal force to keep it travelling in the same circular path at the same velocity.

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

generally force=mass*acceleration and centripetal acceleration \[a=\frac{ v^2 }{ r }\] so \[force=m*a=m*\frac{ v^2 }{ r }\] now can u do it? @Shaekitchen

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

can u make out any relationship between force and mass?

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

well according to the above equation force is proportional to the mass so if u double the mass then u have to double the force also :)
