A public library has fiction and nonfiction books in the ratio three colon two. If the library has three hundred sixty fiction books, how many nonfiction books does it have? seventy-two one hundred twenty one hundred eighty two hundred forty

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

3 : 2 is basically like \[\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\] That is like the base for the pattern of the problem really. The only way that I would solve this is to look at different numbers that would actually be working with the "base" to equal to 360 books for the library.
