Follow up to the other tough one. Same formula for it will be expressed the same. It asks that given that city C (population 702,000) is 200 hundred miles from City D (population 321,000) what is the average number of daily phone calls between city C and city D?
\[C=\frac{ kP _{1}P _{2} }{ d ^{2} }\] for the formula again
So now that you have k = 0.03, you can plug in the values to solve for C: k = 0.03 P1 = 702,000 P2 = 321,000 d = 200
I get 169006.5 for an answer. Since I am to round it to the nearest whole number it would then be 169006 correct?
Whenever you have a decimal >= .5, I would suggest rounding up
You are so right. I can't believe I did that. :-) Thanks for pointing it out. Do you think I have the number right for the equation at 169007 then?
Anyone want to double check for me?
