What is the purpose of a conclusion paragraph?

to restate your thesis
to tell your reader everything that was read
to give a finished feeling to your paper
to summarize your paper

I'm thinking it's the last one since it's like a generalization of all the others, since the conclusion should restate the thesis as well as tell your reader everything that was read in a finished way. But I'm not really too sure.
