PLEASE HELP i will give a MEDAL for the right answer! A skier has decided that on each trip down a slope, she will do 2 more jumps than before. On her first trip she did 6 jumps. Derive the sigma notation that shows how many total jumps she attempts from her fourth trip down the hill through her twelfth trip. Then solve for how many total jumps she attempts from her second trip down the hill through her tenth trip. the summation of 2 i plus 4 from i equals 2 to 10. ; 144 jumps the summation of 2 i plus 4 from i equals 2 to 10. ; 180 jumps the summation of 4 i plus 2 from i equals 2 to 10. ; 234 jumps the summation of 4 i plus 2 from i

What type of math @ilovehim121511

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its Algebra 2 Infinite, Convergent, and Divergent Series @Zozogj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would help but I am in algebra two right now.. I don't think I got there... Sorry. @ilovehim121511

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thank you anyways! (:

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its just a matter of following the information.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The problem is i honestly do really understand it! its so confusing to me! and i have to get 11 assignments done in this class, 2 in english, 5 in hope, and 1 in biology by 3 oclock today...@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you might want to write down the sequence of numbers that have to be generated. so if we start with 6, and add2 each time to the previous number .... what would you say the first 5 numebrs look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

16 isnt even a reasonable reply to my question :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg lol like i said i dont understand this!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 2 to the previous number.. what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we start with 6, then the next number we need is simply and addition of 2. what is the next number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 please help me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"she will do 2 more jumps than before" means that the common difference between each two jumps is 2 thus it must multiply the variable showing the number of the jump and since in the trip number 1 she jumped 6 times then the constant for 0 jumps is 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry im still not really following... @CrazyMexican816

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hoblos
