During a game of miniature golf, Stan compares his scores to Rita's to see who is a better player. Who has an outlier? Stan: 1, 8, 7, 8, 6, 7 Rita: 6, 3, 5, 2, 4, 6 Stan Rita both neither

The outlier is the "oddball" or anomalous score. Rita's score of 1 doesn't seem to fit with her scores of 7, 8, 7, 9, and 8. Stan's scores, although still variable, are all much closer a measure of central tendency like a mean or median.

an outlier is a number that doesn't seem to fit in the data set. I would put the numbers in order and see for yourself. i would almost say it is the 2 in Rita
