I have a question on a paper and I have worked out the amount to be 644,859 for the answer. They are very particular on the paper and wish for you to wait until you have added everything up before you round to the nearest dollar. I am asking if it is possible that someone could check my math. :-)
The question is:
A job pays a salary of 30,00 the first year, during the next 12 years the salary increases by 8%, what is the total lifetime salary over a span of 13 years?

If the salary increases 8% each year, then your answer is correct. If it increases 8% over 12 years, then your answer is too big.
