HELP? please =]
Do you know where to begin with this one? What to do first?
Really it is very simple....promise!!!
Honestly... i have nooo idea.. i SUCK at math
im stuck.. lol
No, you don't...you just don't know how to do this! Everyone learns sometime! Here we go with this. This is telling you to find f(x) when x = -7. When you get the answer for that (it will be a whole number or a fraction, I don't know yet!) plug whatever that answer is in for the x in g(x). So what is f(x) when x is -7?\[(-7)^{2}+6=\]What does that equal?
55
(-7)+8/(-7)?
Good! Now plug 55 in for the x in the g function:\[\frac{ 55+8 }{ 55 }=?\]What you get here is your answer!
im confused as to why ur using the 55 for the second one also..lmaoo idk
A composite function like this one means that you apply the result from one into the other. That means that 55 is used for x in the g function.
ohh see thats where i mess up... i think (-7) is used for all the xs.. lol
i got 3033/55
Here, you have g(f(-7)). That's the other way to write what you posted in your original question. It's a composite function. The result from the f(-7) (55) goes in for the x in the g function. See if you can reduce that at all. Your answer, I mean.
WAIT!!! It's 55+ 8! That equals 63. 63/55
I don't mean to be rude, but where did you get 3033?
lol i was multiplying.. i reread it wrong..sorry i see where u get 63/55.. thanks for the help
You're very welcome!
