When and if god decides to. And, @Freelance1 the world won't end when he comes back, it's all in Revelation. Which nobody knows when that will be, he could come right now if he wanted to. On the spiritual side of things. Other than that, I think robots have a pretty good chance of taking over due to the fact that we give them artificial intelligence. AKA their own "brains.

Actually, God did say in the bible he is going to destroy the earth again, only this time with fire. So yeah :) And that's in the KJV version, the NLV the ARV version the ESV version and every normal bible out there.
