Which is a correct classification for the triangle? A. equiangular triangle B. obtuse triangle C. right triangle D. acute triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Acute, because all angles are under 90 degrees.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

@eflatt13: 1) Does it appear that this is a right triangle? Why or why not? 2) Add together the two given angles. 3) Subtract that total from 180 degrees (why?). 4) Mark the measure of the unknown angle on the diagram. 5) Consider how you would classify this triangle. Sorry, but no, this is not an acute triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Terribly sorry, I entered the wrong number into my calculator. The missing angle is 95, making this an obtuse triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you both :)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Thanks. Never hurts to check, does it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem eflatt.
