Which of the following would most likely result in the greatest decrease in the rate of a chemical reaction? A. Adding an enzyme inhibitor to a reaction catalyzed by an enzyme B. Adding an enzyme to the reaction to decrease the activation energy C. Decreasing the pH to create an acidic environment D. Increasing the temperature of the reactants

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, I'm no expert in this but I am thinking the answer would be D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you, But I have to have 100% correct answers. Haha

OpenStudy (muzzack):

What an untidy and ambiguous question. Which is not your fault. It depends on how much you increase the temp of the reactants or how much you decrease the pH of the solution. Bronze is correct on that score.

OpenStudy (muzzack):

A,C and D would stop the enzyme from doing its work(speeding up the reaction).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So b ?

OpenStudy (muzzack):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it is B. http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4fd8d067e4b091dda5405618 If you look up the question, most of the time there are openstudy links.
