OpenStudy (nincompoop):

how are you solving problems without learning the proper vocabularies and concepts first?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

this is a simple arithmetic, but you need to get the concept first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hence, why I got it wrong the first time..

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

well then... why don't you read about the topics first before you start answering and ask for help?

OpenStudy (nikato):

@lilia222 and when you combine these two solutions, you want 12+x of a 16% peroxide solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's 1.14 , thanks for trying

OpenStudy (nikato):

ok. cool. cuz thats what i got too!

OpenStudy (nikato):

here's my work |dw:1403408309978:dw|

OpenStudy (nikato):

set up the equation, which is A + B= solution so 0.08(12) + x = 0.16(12+x) distribute then solve for x. and you get x= 1.1428571.......
