ok. so for a graph to be a function use vertical line test. if plotted a vertical line at any point on the graph, if it cuts the given curve of function at one point then it is a function otherwise not.

for e.g.,|dw:1403410517703:dw| so you can see that vertical line cuts the graph only at one point . so, it is a function.
