Find a cubic function with the given zeros. -6, 7, -4
if 'a' is a ZERO, then \(\Large (x-a)\) will be a factor. so, what will be the factor if 7 is a zero ??
?
you didn't get what i said ?
whats your doubt ? did you try to find the cubic function ? or are you just waiting for an answer ?
i'm trying
let me give you a start, since '7' is a zero, (x-7) will be the factor. what will be the factor when -6 is a zero ? when -4 is a zero ? if you can't answer these, you're not even thinking.
Well.. A function whose zeroes are -6, 7 ,-4 means that these are the values of X for which the function=0...When stuck in such problems... Equate the values to X seperately.. And then multiply each of them together.
-6, 7, -4 -6 + x = 0 Add six to both sides to isolate x. x = 6 So (x + 6) is a factor. 7 + x = 0 Isolate x. x = -7 So (x - 7) is a factor. I'll let you solve -4. I'll show you what to do after that.
