OpenStudy (precal):

Explain each value represented in the context of the given problem. Calculus derivative problem

OpenStudy (precal):

The number of people entering a concert can be modeled by the function \[f(t)=560 e ^{sint}\]

OpenStudy (precal):

where t represents the number of hours after the gates are open. Find the values of f(1/2) and f'(1/2). Use correct units to explain what each value represents in the context of this problem.

OpenStudy (precal):

f(1/2)=904.481926 I wrote 904 people entered concert after 30 minutes of the gates opening

OpenStudy (precal):

f'(1/2)=793.75735 but not sure what it represent

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Ummm I mean like... the derivative represents instantaneous rate of change... So I guess it would be telling us that `at this moment, the 30 minute mark`, people are coming in at a rate of 793 people ... per hour? Something like that.

OpenStudy (precal):

sounds good to me, hope that sounds good to my professor

zepdrix (zepdrix):

lol :)
