RNA primer has proof reading activity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

RNA primer don't possess catalytic activity and thus are not enzymes. Therefore they cannot carry out proof reading activity. I think it should be RNA primase , but even this enzyme does not have proof reading activity , it only adds primers along lagging strands during DNA replication which are they extended by DNA polymerase.

RNA primer, which is laid down by primase does not have proof-reading capability and ignores mismatched pairs. These mismatched are later replaced during replication.
