1st question: determine the rate by doing \[ \frac{\text{# sea creatures}}{\text{time elapsed}}\] The fastest rate would correspond to that fraction being the largest. One example, the first would would give 4/6 = 0.67

FOr the 3rd question, I don't know what the shape is, but just purely from the definition of translation... a translation is a shift in the objects position from one place to another. You can only move it without rotating it, and the shape retains its same shape and size.
